Attention
North Troy Stag, Rod and Gun Club is implementing a new access and security system. The existing card system for access to the grounds and clubhouse is being replaced by a new system that will use a key fob instead of the card. All members will have to obtain their fob in person at the club. Fobs will not be mailed to members. There will be no charge for the fob.
Our existing card-based system has been in place for 25 years and has served us reasonably well. It is, however, a stand-alone system and the software which it uses is no longer commercially supported. The system is cumbersome to use especially when doing the annually updating of the membership roll. The new system is internet based with commercially supported software. It will allow club officers to remotely monitor who has accessed the club and should greatly facilitate updates. As all modern systems require internet access, the Club installed an internet connection which can be used by members free of charge when they are at the clubhouse. It will also support many Club activities.
Distribution of the fobs will begin at the January membership meeting and continue until the March membership meeting. During that time period either your existing card or the new fob will allow access to the club. After early March the card system will be discontinued and you will have to use the new fob. No fob, no access. To facilitate distribution of the fobs you may obtain yours at the Club on the following dates and times.
Sunday, January 5, 2025 10:30 am until immediately after the meeting
Saturday, January 18 9 am until 12 noon
Thursday, January 23 4:30 pm until 7 pm
Sunday, February 2 10:30 am until immediately after the meeting
Saturday, February 15 10 am until 1pm
Saturday, March 1 (Game Dinner) 2 pm until 4pm
Sunday, March 2 10 am until immediately after the meeting
For those of you who have not paid your 2025 dues they must be in by January 5, 2025.
Fobs will only be issued after your 2025 dues are paid.
Your cooperation is appreciated. If you have questions contact Phil Hembdt at 518 283-5183.
